Lawrence Thal
Vice President, Founder and Lead Architect of Mountainside Village, Board Member

Larry has lived and practiced architecture and community design and development from his Wilson, WY base for over 30 years. He established Sunlight Design in 1988, in which the name of the architectural firm reflects his passion for solar design. He has a strong background designing efficient, sensible, and attractive homes, as well as small commercial buildings that are well integrated with their site. These projects aim to take advantage of the latest in high performance building strategies.
Larry’s passion for building community and historic preservation led to his work with the Old Wilson Schoolhouse. He was both the lead architect and an active board member in the renovation and conversion of a degraded old schoolhouse into a now well loved active community center. He sees recycling an entire building as being an exemplary sustainable building project.
